Ken Fisher
Ken is the Founder and Executive Director of The Abraham Lincoln Center for Character Development in Wheaton Illinois. Ken became involved in character education through the Healthy DuPage-sponsored Character Development Coalition as a part-time "on-loan executive” from his position as Director of Training at ServiceMaster and most recently, ARAMARK.
After two years, the project required full-time leadership and grew into The Lincoln Center, a not-for-profit organization that was founded on February 12, 2003. The Lincoln Center has official partnerships with Character Counts! and the Character Education Partnership.
Ken has over 20 years’ experience in a variety of roles in the human resource development areas at ARAMARK, ServiceMaster and Arthur Andersen. He also worked for over 10 years in the field of education as a high school teacher, college counselor and Dean of Students. Ken served on the National Leadership Council of Character Counts! in Los Angeles, California and presently is on the Board of Directors of the Institute for Excellence and Ethics in Fayetteville, NY.
Ken has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Botany and a Master’s in Education from Ohio University. Ken now lives in Lone Tree, Colorado and is providing consultation to schools and businesses, the Character Education Partnership and the Foundation for Character Development.
