The 21st Century Education Coalition
Mission
The 21st Century Education Coalition is dedicated to sustaining effective learning environments in all K-12 schools in Colorado by cultivating a positive school culture, building strong relationships within school communities, and promoting civic responsibility.
Who we are
We are an emerging coalition of organizations and specialists in the field of service-learning, social and emotional learning, character education and 21st century skills. We are committed to transcending the boundaries of our fields and integrating our approaches to support schools to effectively implement 21st century skills. Current Coalition Members: Foundation for Character Development, Focused Leadership Solutions, FrontRange EarthForce, Institute for Excellence & Ethics, Abraham Lincoln Center for Character Development, PeaceJam, PassageWorks Institute, and Rachel’s Challenge.
What we do
·Provide schools with practical classroom methodologies that engage students to find critical connections between their schoolwork, their lives, and the needs of their communities.
·Provide effective professional development and coaching to enhance instructional strategies and leadership practices for teachers and school leaders.
· Support the design and development of classroom, school and state assessments of 21st century learning and behavior skills.
·Advocate for an integrated approach to education-so that school is both immediately relevant to students and effectively prepares them for the demands of the workforce and higher education.
