2006
· Jim Olmstead appointed Director of Strategic Partnerships
· Jim conducts nationwide research to identify best practices and leading practitioners in character education
· FFCD becomes member/affiliate of Character Education Partnership (CEP) in Washington D.C.
· Jim attends (CEP) Forum in Washington D.C.

2007
· Jim/Mark meet with Sandy McDonnell, Founder/Chairman Emeritus, CEP, staff at Characterplus and attend Leadership in Character Education professional development training for principals in St. Louis
· Jim attends (CEP) Forum in Washington D.C.
· FFCD hosts Colorado Symposium on Character & Ethics at Botanic Gardens with following key presenters:

Dwight Jones, Commissioner, Colorado State Department of Education
Sandy McDonnell, Chairman Emeritus, McDonnell Douglas Corp. & CEP
Peter Yarrow, Singer/Founder, Operation Respect, New York, New York

2008
· Jim attends National Consortium for Character Based Leadership at Georgetown University
· FFCD chosen by Character Education Partnership to be the local coordinating organization for Colorado State Schools of Character Awards (SSOC) Program
· Four schools submit applications to FFCD for SSOC Award
· Jim meets with Dr. Roger Weissberg, President/CEO, Collaborative for Academic, Social & Emotional Leaning at University of Illinois-Chicago
· Jim attends South Carolina Character Education Conference sponsored by the South Carolina Department of Education
· Jim meets with Dr. Kevin Ryan, Founding Director, Center for Advancement of Ethics & Character at Boston University
· Jim attends Character Education Partnership (CEP) Forum in Washington D.C.

2009
· FFCD invited to provide testimony to Colorado Legislature Joint Education Committee on the impact of character education in schools
· FFCD hosts roundtable forum on character education at University Club for business leaders, select schools, Colorado Department of Higher Education and Colorado Department of Education
· FFCD hosts workshop for SSOC applicants to promote best practices in schools and provide consult in application process
· Jim Olmstead meets with Senator Michael Bennet and Congressman Jared Polis key staff in Washington D.C. to discuss impact of character education and activities in Colorado
· Peak to Peak Charter School, Lafayette, recognized by FFCD and Commissioner Dwight Jones as first SSOC award winner during FFCD hosted awards event at State Capitol. 
· Rocky Heights Middle School, Littleton, KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy, Denver, and Columbine Middle School, Aurora, receive Promising Practice Awards at awards event.
· Peak to Peak Charter School named 1 of 25 finalists for National Schools of Character Award
· FFCD hosts “Think Tank” on positioning character education to be more vital component of educational landscape in Colorado
· FFCD commissions RMC Research to conduct study on promoting character education in Colorado Schools.  Report published in June.
· FFCD co-signs letter to President Obama from CEP advocating a more robust emphasis on character education in schools
· FFCD presents/facilitates discussion at CEP Forum in Alexandria, Virginia

2010
· Eagle Rock School, Estes Park, KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy, Denver, Peak to Peak Charter School, Lafayette, Rocky Heights Middle School, Littleton, Russell Middle School, Colorado Springs recognized as Colorado State Schools of Character at State Capitol by FFCD and Commissioner Dwight Jones during awards event hosted by FFCD
· Rocky Heights Middle School named 1 of 25 finalists for National Schools of Character Award
· FFCD hosts Forum on Colorado Education in the 21st Century at Botanic Gardens for business, education and community leaders with following key presenters:

· FFCD explores partnership with United States Air Force Academy to host character and leadership camp at USAFA campus in 2011
